Hi there, and thanks for checking out my blog! I’m Stacey. Somehow I found myself practicing as a lawyer, but what I get really excited about are heirloom tomatoes, compost, and sitting down to a great meal.
I love to cook and eat, and I enjoy growing my own food (though I still have a lot to learn). I’m passionate about food system reform and getting folks excited about good food and the people who produce it. I love trying to make things from scratch (emphasis on trying), like bread and simple cheeses, and I look forward to learning more about permaculture and sustainable principles now that I have a place to put down roots of my own.
My fiancé, Travis, is always inspiring me to be a better person and a better partner and I’m very lucky to have his love and support in my life.
I was born and raised in Maryland, but last summer Travis and I took a huge leap of faith and moved to a house in Central Vermont that’s perched up high on the hillside above the morning clouds, surrounded by lupines and wild apple trees. Our love of drinking in big starry skies, good cheese, and small businesses jettisoned us along the way. It’s a big change, but it feels right.
